So i took my motorcycle out tonight. Had just a lovely cool ride over to my friends house from about 5:30 to 6:15. supper, basketball, Xbox... good times. Until it was time to ride home and I walked outside to find a thin layer of frost/ice on my seat. that was the coldest ride ever.
I pushed my luck, going 70 in a 55 on 1314. probably fairly safe there. Also passed two cars that were going slow - I glanced down and saw that I briefly hit 90 while passing them. Then after I finally made it to 494, I was stuck at a red light to turn left onto Ford Rd. Like a good child is trained to do, I looked both ways before crossing... but I went. I had to get home.
So here I sit, typing with fingers going through the de-numbing process, waiting for the electric blanket to heat up. In fact, it should stop just short of starting a fire. The internet says its 42 in Humble, but in Conroe its 33. So most of the ride was in the 30's. Not sure what the wind chill factor is for 70mph.
The previous record low for a ride was 48 (according to a bank sign) on the way to a Kaycie and Melissa soccer game.
Here's to new world records...

Now you know!
That sounds really cold. Closest I have come to that experience is 5am rowing on the Chattahoochee in February. Sounds like you are having a lot of fun and being relatively safe. keep doing you thing man!
